Funding & Disclosures

Who pays for this site

NeuropathyAnswers.org is financially supported by a healthcare company with commercial interests in peripheral neuropathy treatment. Our sponsor is named here because we believe you deserve to know who funds the resources you rely on. This page describes what that funding pays for, what it does not buy, and how we keep our editorial decisions independent from our funder.

What the funding covers

Sponsor funding pays for the costs of operating this site. That includes medical writer fees, physician reviewer honoraria, web hosting, email infrastructure, editorial coordination, and the operational overhead of running a credible patient-education resource. The site does not generate revenue from advertising, sponsored content, affiliate marketing, or subscription fees, and there is no plan to introduce any of these revenue sources.

What the funding does not buy

Our sponsor does not select our content topics. Our sponsor does not see our content before publication. Our sponsor does not review, approve, or edit our content. Our sponsor does not have access to our subscriber list, subscriber email addresses, or any individual subscriber’s information. Our sponsor does not direct our medical reviewers, has no contact with them outside of normal commercial business, and has no role in their selection.

Our sponsor receives aggregate operational reports each quarter (total visitors, total subscribers, top content topics) but no information that would identify any individual reader. The operational separation is enforced through our editorial workflow. Draft content is accessible only to the assigned author, the assigned reviewer, and our editorial coordinator. Subscriber data is held by our email platform and is never exported to our sponsor. The aggregate quarterly report contains no personally identifiable information of any kind.

Medical Advisory Board compensation

Each Medical Advisory Board member receives compensation for reviewed pieces and quarterly content audits. The total amount paid to each named Board member is disclosed on the Medical Advisory Board page each January for the prior calendar year. Compensation is paid from the site’s operating budget, but no individual review is connected to any specific commercial interest of our sponsor or any other entity.

Member disclosures

Each Medical Advisory Board member files a standing disclosure of all financial relationships in the prior thirty-six months with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, payers, professional societies, and any other entity with a commercial interest in neuropathy treatment. These disclosures are published in full on the Medical Advisory Board page alongside each member’s biography.

If our funding changes

If our financial support changes, we update this page within thirty days. The change is also noted in the next monthly newsletter so existing subscribers are informed. The historical record of this page is preserved internally and is available on request.
